  • Beef, seafood, chicken/duck: Easily cause itching, swelling, pus formation, and dark scarring.
  • Sticky rice dishes (sticky rice, rice cakes, etc.): Easily cause inflammation and swelling of the wound.
  • Water spinach: Stimulates excessive collagen production, causing keloid scarring.
  • Eggs: May cause the newly healed skin to become patchy and uneven in color.
  • Spicy, greasy foods, alcoholic beverages, stimulants: Slow down the healing process and easily cause irritation.

• Foods to SUPPLEMENT
  • Soft, easily digestible foods such as porridge and soup in the first few days.
  • Green vegetables (except water spinach) and fresh fruits rich in Vitamin C to boost immunity.
  • Drink plenty of water (you can use a straw) to prevent your lips from drying out and peeling.

Daily habits determine the stability of the lip structure after surgery.

• Limit lip movements: Try to avoid laughing loudly, talking too much, or opening your mouth wide to prevent tearing of the stitches or bleeding.
• Rest properly: Elevate your head with a pillow when sleeping for the first 2-3 days to improve blood circulation and reduce swelling.
• Take medication regularly: Adhere to the prescribed dosage of antibiotics, painkillers, and anti-inflammatory medication as directed by your doctor at the cosmetic clinic.
• Follow-up appointments and suture removal: Attend your scheduled appointments with your doctor for suture removal (usually after 5-7 days) and to check on your recovery.
